25 bags delivered in an hour and 15 minutes from when I left school until the time I’m at the bar and enjoying a cold one (or two)with some hot and honey wings. Nothing to brag about but customers seemed very happy so hopefully they share and this grows.
I think the difference is most people don’t want to life a finger. People willing to stop at the roadside stand at least appreciate the value of the 12-14 loose pieces over the bag. The people who want the bag probably aren’t even willing to stop at the roadside stand to look at it. if the bags will burn, you could even advertise that all they have to do is throw the bag in the fireplace and light it after you deliver it to their house Unless that is they want them delivered to their fireplace!
I have started using those bags for my cooker wood. In the past I would make small splits as I needed them for the cook as I needed them. Now I have gone to all split and sorted by species in the bags. Now I can just grab a bag of whatever I want to use and it is all ready to go. It really makes things so much easier. It does add to the cost but for what I use them for it is worth the investment. I don't sell wood but do see the bags at some of the local quickie-marts though.
That's awesome Joe. Glad the bag sales are starting to take off. Those city slickers over in medford/marlton will probably be your best customers haha.
Joe, when you deliver are you doing cash only or another paysite, ie venmo? Just seems like a lot of people don't carry cash these days
