34, snowing and blowing. Snow won't ammount to anything but it's nice to look at.

Haven't been out to the boiler yet but I suspect it still has a good amount of oak and cherry on there from yesterday.

It was 25 earlier this morning but the temps are dropping. Brought some firewood down to the house. Windy, too.

With the wind chill, single digit temps (70) since the wind has died down.

Had to shovel twice today. 5" of snow at best.

23*, dry (a nice change), and windy today. Trying out some of the cherry Mr. Cottonwood gifted to us. Pleased with the results. IMG_1120.jpeg
She’s just about warmed up now, no full-on secondaries just yet. 72* in the middle of the house (the firebox is all the way to the west side of the house).

Feeding the boiler this morning and it was high 30’s and calm. Within a couple hours the wind kicked up and light flurries. Low of 18 F coming. This is why we burn wood. No cringe each time a furnace kicks on.

Yep. My furnace hasn’t been on since it was installed 4 years ago. I’d be afraid to start it now!

Our furnace will be running this weekend while we are gone to our son's place for a quick overnight visit.

Its looking like the weather guessers missed again. Most of the day yesterday was below freezing with snow. Today now is predicted to be a high of 34. Earlier they forecast mid 40's all week.

Dropped to 5 overnight once the skies cleared up. Then, clouds moved in and temps warmed a bit. You know the routine. Thankfully, the winds died down!

    10/62 now.
