Looks pretty solid to me. You have a bandsaw? The really cool part is inside that thing. Dry it out for a while, and saw some veneers from it.
Looks like you did alright on that one Zap! Hope you can process it further and post some step by step pics. (Kinda asking a lot, no?)
It looks like a few fractures that may rule out larger pieces, but solid enough to do something with the smaller pieces. Nice grain.
