I was kicking around the leaves at the center for homeless wood and found some limbs that are either hickory or pecan. They seem too flaky to be Hickory.
Thanks! Not my property, but I am blessed to be able to cut wood here. So many downed trees and not enough time.
Load of black birch. CSS July of last year. Rare occasion the wood was top covered nicely and didnt get wet in the stack save for the ends.
Ive only seen one yard pecan around here. Nice that you have room. Been trying to have an open rack or two for exotics if and when i get them. I need more mulberry.
Was moving wood from one of the meadow stashes to the woodshed. Moved 2 loads yesterday and hoping to get a couple more moved today. It was mostly red maple with some silver maple and cherry mixed in.
free if the branding irons re-surface. I heard they got damaged. I'll fix them if they show up at a GTG.
Put the truck to work this morning with a load of hickory.... I've fallen behind a bit on the hoarding. Time to get caught back up. This will go on a stack with some black locust for winter '25-'26.
Half cord load of nuggets and shorts. Mostly honey locust and black locust with some other primo hardwoods. Dried three plus years. Customer to get the other half cord next month.
He's one of my BL regulars. He used to take 16" splits and cut in half to burn. I have another cord of BL nuggets for him when he is ready.
