    Or, it tried running away.
Yep its not where i put it. It's ⅞" out of square. I noticed it last year and it's getting worse.
It apparently moves a few thousandths of an inch with each heat cycle.
    Anybody else experience this?

Maybe too vigorous loading of splits is pushing it in one direction?

The earth’s rotation is slowing and gravity is decreasing causing heavy objects to shift.

I have small marks on my hearth where the back legs are supposed to sit. A couple times a year I move the stove maybe a half inch to get the legs back on the marks. I always assumed the steel expanding and contracting caused it to walk a little.

TurboDiesel one side of stove on my IS has more heat on low right by loading door and high temp on STT seems be right.. Might cause movement in heat cycles but it’s an 800# stove

My wood furnace in the garage does it. I always figured it was from throwing wood in and hitting the back wall inside the stove

Maybe this in combination with the earth's magnetic field shifting

I know Tim likes to prop his feet up and sometimes on the stove. He probably sometimes goes to sleep like that and perhaps even gets rid of some gas. Maybe...
