Too warm for a fire here at 50. I did hear the furnace kick on so I baked a loaf of bread, which shut it back up Looks like we’ll be back to burning tomorrow.
23/66 Made the mistake of firing up last evening since I heard the wind begining to howl a bit. Up at 1:30.........too hot for sleeping..........69!
I know, if I was on TV I would have to have an axe. A few years back I bought an aborists blade for the sawzall , It works pretty good, and I had a spare battery with me in case anyone else needed to use it. Most folks I saw there had small battery or gas chain saws.
30/66. Will probably make it until this evening for an overnight fire. If inside temp drops to 64 I'll start a fire. Loading up the Lopi Mike in Okla
Sitting at -10C/14F for now. and should warm up to that -5C/22-24F range by the afternoon. I'm really going to hate it when we get back to normal weather, but until then, smooth sailing. Pine and some poplar snacks in the reactor.
My brother use to go into his garage at about 4am so he could work on stuff alone. Everyone else would come in about 7:45 for their 8-5 day.
I shut the Wood Gun right off about 11am. Opened some windows. Just fired it back on for a short burn. Still 42 out there. Should be back to freezing by tomorrow afternoon. Maybe
Currently 45* here now and raining, no heat except the cook stove which has been busy. 67* inside, When this rain storm that melted our meager snow swings outta here and the wrap around cold from Canada will swings in, it will go back to snow. Decorated the tree today. Never forget the reason for the season, God Bless you all.
Forgot to add that we also got snow overnight. Chose to shovel/move snow before church. 23 now dropping into mid teens for overnight.
36/73. Just stuffed the firebox full of prime red oak. Definitely not going cold here. Still raining and they say high winds tomorrow so it’ll be a hold your breath kinda day. Saturated ground and high winds make me nervous about the huge silver maple in my back yard.
