I've been working on 2 large ash trees and took a break to walk around and see what else I could find.

As I cut into this water started pouring out of the cut like I hit a main water line.....first time that happened. 20231106_141911.jpg
I decided to split and stack in the woods instead of lugging these back to the house. It's hoa property and nobody is back here. I plan to bring it back to our house next spring or fall. This won't burn for at least 3 years.

Here's what I found that is still waiting on me.

Good stuff there. Ive encountered gushing water in a cut before. Really catches you off guard but cool to see. I have a stack of oak splits in my woods that will be three years old next month. I wheelbarrow it out as needed.

Just be sure that T.Jeff Veal doesnt know where it is!

Luckily Jeff is a good distance East of me

My 15 year old made the suggestion that if we stacked in the woods it would weigh less when we bring it home. He's my wheelbarrow helper so he's always looking for an easier way:sleeping:
