Thoughts and Prayers for those in need

So one interesting event:
in the song, What a Friend We Have in Jesus, there is a line about " all our sins and griefs to bear". The rest of the song admonished letting Him have those burdens.
Scripture also (Is 53:4) discusses the Lord taking infirmities and sorrows, and elsewhere: His burden is light and yoke easy, and elsewhere "I came to set the captives free"...
Funny enough, I'd never asked Him to take those things from me.

Tough guy here has been shouldering all kindsa stuff, FOR YEARS, with no relief. No shoulder [that I was able to] cry on, and yeah, looking for that in all the wrong places. One simple ask 2 nights ago, wallowing at the bottom of the barrel, 2am, AND IT IS ALL GONE!

Not everything is fixed: the memory of things past is still rather there, but the pain is gone. I can for the first time in 8 or 10 years, maybe more, walk in the moment, not according to the past. I haven't had to yet, but I should be able to respond to what's directly in front of me, not out of the pain . . . .

There were a lot of other prayers that night; to submit to HIM more fully, to allow Him to direct my steps. To walk in obedience (to Him)...

For Brothers and Sisters in a marriage with issues:

He evidently hears the prayers of a righteous Sister/Brothers here...

Needing prayers for our daughter, Kayla. We were going to see Christmas lights last night, she tried got out of the SXS, her ankle rolled, broke her leg above the ankle. They have 2 little boys, 3 and 6.
She has to go to orthopedic Dr soon.

 

Prayers being sent

 

Hope she heels up OK.

I did the same sort of thing about 10 years ago ; walking the dog on ice in the backyard.
Slipped and broke ankle ; two plates and 13 screws from the local True Value and put me back together.

Amazing what they can do today to fix us up.
Hope she gets a good report of some sort.

 

So sorry to hear about Kayla. She is blessed to have you two to support her.

 

Luckily, the boys are in school now,
3 yr goes for 1/2 day, 6yr is in 1 grade. Miz Carol is shouldering most of the load right now.
She's at the Dr right now. I'll update soon. Thanks for the prayers

 

T.Jeff Veal prayers coming. I saw a woman to that stepping off a curb. Fluke thing that can happen and abruptly change the priorities in life

 

Yes ma'am, maybe 1/4 mile down the road.

 

She has a cast now, no surgery required. Dr actually saw a smaller 2nd break too.
God is good, could have been worse

My 6yr old nephew passed away Sunday afternoon, after around two years of cancer.

Please pray for my sister, bil, & their 6 kids.

 

Oh my lord man. I can't even imagine that. Praying now.
