I have almost three wood racks at my house that haven't been filled yet. Brought over a load of shoulder wood from where I process and store most of my wood. All silver maple. The rack on the left was my first attempt at cribbing the ends. Not the best but it held long enough. I think I'm doing better with cribbing my more recent stacks. Loaded and ready for the half mile long drive to my house. The split and stacked wood to the right is mostly linden (basswood) that will make it's way to my house next week. The rounds stacked on the ground is some elm waiting for me to fire up the hydraulics. The finished product just waiting for it's call to duty.
Nice system schlot. Your cribbing looks a lot better than my attempts that ended in a trip to Lowe's for metal stakes like your stack on the right. Nice looking rack of btu's against the house.
Thanks. After doing some more splitting this afternoon I took time to set up our deck for a night with my girl. Moved up the firepit (never use it on the deck, but thought it would be ok since I will be right next to it), brought out our kitchen TV, hooked it up to a amplified antenna I bought today, brought out the chips and salsa, my bride is getting "beverages" and we are ready for Sunday Night football. Too bad it's just the Bears playing though Kelli is still a Bears fan, but she is slowly coming around to seeing that Packers are better. Almost always the simple things are the best!
I got some neighbors down the street they have a 60 inch in their pole barn they open the big door fire up the pit n watch
Thanks. The back side of house is in the middle if of improvements ( siding and new door) so its not primo condition
