My kids wanted to do wood so I said let's do it. Only 20 minutes of work. Would of finished a lot if company didn't come over. Oh well.
I agree. My kids are 5 and 3 but they are work horses like their daddy. I have to tell them to stop and drink some water. By the time they are 10 they will be running my splitter and I'll do all the stacking..
I agree well. Make you want to work harder so you can show them what's it's all about busting your rear
The next generation of wood burners! Gotta start em early. I used to stack wood every year with my dad - gets in your blood.

I started at 8 and fell in love with the fire. Thats all she wrote. Now im showing my lil ones how its done. It will make my life easier down the road
Work them while you can, soon they will be 16 and then I defy you to get any work out of them much less to even clean their room! Gary
Yup. I started splitting at age 6. Stacking long before that. Was on a farm so had other chores to take care of also.
If they follow in my steps they will help me quite a bit. Once they start chasing the girls around it's over lmaoooo
Nice! I am very thankful for my boys, they've been running our splitter (hydraulics lever) for me (5 & 7yrs old resp.) while I move the rounds in place. They swap running the lever and stacking, so good to have help.
