I have a strange thing that happened with videos. It started with the audio and visual not in sync and difficult to watch anything like that. Really weird with music. But it is getting worse. Sometimes the audio might work but the picture is still. This morning trying to watch a video someone posted, it will play the audio for maybe 3 seconds then replay the same thing over and over.

Any ideas for a fix or do I need a new card?

Is it online (streaming, etc) content you're watching or is it saved material that's in one of your drives?

First thing I'd recommend, if you haven't, is to re-boot the computer.

You could try clearing your Cache for whatever program you are watching them on. I got nothing after that. I can use one of these things decently, but maintenance is another story.

Online. All of Youtube is goofy. Videos posted on this forum play only about 2 seconds then repeat over and over.

Next thing I’d ask, can you play videos that are already saved on your computer?

Yes. I am getting mixed results with others.. Tried a few on youtube. Some worked, some not. Tried watching news. Does not work. It seems crazy.

Maybe a "disc clean" would help?

Do you have an onboard video card or "standalone" I'm wondering if the video card gave up.
When was the last time the computer was blown out? Broken fans and clogged fans can cause goofy things to happen.

Are you fairly up to date on your software ?
Say like You're not using something 10 years old ?
Is this right afetr a recent update ?
(with auto updating it's common not to know the question of that unless you know how to check update dates)

Up to date. I finally gave up on Microsoft and turned off updates. They are making way too many changes that often screws something up.

If you are using Edge then updates or lack of them could be the issue. Try downloading and using Firefox

Bang it against the wall a couple of times. If that doesn't fix it call your son and get a new one. That's what I usually do.

The crazy world of computers. I tried everything I could think of except taking the computer to a repair shop. I even had more troubles including not being able to put it to sleep or turning it off, so had to just cut the power to it. Some weird things have been happening.

But, suddenly it is working right and I've done nothing for several days. But I can again watch videos and use sleep and turn off, etc. Maybe it is the wild things happening with the sun and the moon...
