Bought a 500 i in Dec. last year to use along with my old Jonsered 670 I bought in the mid 90's to cut timber with and really like it. Anyone else have one and if so, has it been a good saw for you?
Maybe one of the Moderators could move this thread to where more people will view it?? Backwoods Savage Eric VW wildwest
I have had mine since September and it's been nothing short of awesome! On the 5th tank now. Sent from my SM-S908U using Tapatalk
Its been a GREAT saw for me! Amazed every time i use it. My largest CC saw. Ive run it with 20"-36" bars. February will be three years that ive owned mine. WHi AM i SO EXiTED?
I’m on a 2 saw plan right now. I run a 346 for smaller stuff and a 500 for everything else. I haven’t used my other saws in a couple years
I love mine. My only other saws before it were 50cc so I do notice the extra power…bur she also needs to be refuelled more often. Reliable to start, which I always value in equipment.
Are they ported? Ive often wonder what saws you use for your own cutting or use the ones your working on. With my saw hoard and realizing which ones i use the most of the time ive thought of downsizing. Do you offer a multisaw discount for porting? Black Friday specials? Bogo?
Nah, I have tried that…didn’t work. I will say that even if you are a Stihl guy (I have a little bit of everything) you are missing out on the real fun until you have a 346 variant done by Kevin.
Im cheap and am still trying to justify spending the on porting. I have learned of the 346 here and was recently intrigued by a 357 Husky for sale on FBM.
Just think of it as a investment... Just send that 500 or the 400 in and then you'll understand... ... and then you can thank us later...
Good point. Ive seen how much value the porting holds in the hand full of saws ive seen for sale on FBM/CL.
Hah. Nope. You inquired about an FHC discount a few years ago, remember? Lol. If anything, my prices are going up
I’ve noticed mine stays pretty thirsty myself. Seems like it has a small tank tho? My Jonsered will usually cut around a face cord a tank, of course according to what kind of wood
