Dad bought it brand new way back mid to late 80's. He loaned it to a friend many years later who straight gassed it. I found an oem cylinder and put I believe a Golf piston in it. That missing badge bugged me so I found one on ebay to replace it. Wasn't an easy find either. I used an old printing plate and was going to get a vinyl decal till I found it.
Very nice. I thought about replacing the top cover but decided to keep dads riveted piece of aluminum. It’s character. If I ever happen to see a recoil badge, I’ll keep you in mind.
Mine is a little older, it has a silver ID tag. The black tags started in 87, I believe . I have a black tag one that I got as a parts saw. I decided to get it running, I just couldn't help it, ya know. I put a used oem 55 cylinder and meteor piston in it. It runs good, a little stronger than my old one.

I'm sweating looking at those logs. Not because of the heat. WO that big will likely be a little cantakerous when splitting.
Its been dead a while so hopefully not too bad. I have met some stubborn stringy white oak that was extra.
Didn't cut that one.... unfortunately. Interesting piece of crotch from the one I cut with the echo...
I'm getting wood looking at all this wood. Can I play too? Here's one of my McCulloch Pro Mac 10-10S saws posing with a nice double- heartwood for ya.
