Half cord load of mostly cherry, sugar and Norway maple delivered today. Regular customer getting his first of 3 or 4 for the Winter. Some of my customers like getting half cords at a time as they have limited space for stacking. Had some framing lumber scraps i gave him for kindling too.
Half cord load of pin oak heartwood (CSS March 2021) delivered to a good friend today. Need maybe another 1/4-1/3 cord to fill this bay in his shed.
I couldn't pass this up when it was less than 50' from the driveway. I was actually on my way to another scrounge when I saw this. Waste not, want not!
Not yet, but it's on my neighbor's property, He told me I can cut anything on his land that's already down. I keep an eye on his property and keep the lane open to his deer blind. I can walk it, hunt it etc. That's the best kind of neighbor to have.
I used to put shorts on top of my stacks. For the most part I don’t bother stacking chunks anymore. I try not to create shorts.
It’s not often I post loaded truck pictures, but this was a good opportunity to do so. One load of dead red oak and one of dead ash, dropped off at my uncle’s this morning.
Couple loads delivered to new customers this weekend. Both were their second delivery. First load was nuggets/shorts. Red and sugar maple, black birch, cherry and mulberry. Second was normal lengths comprised mostly of red maple and tulip poplar
Nice loads and great you’re still picking up new clients. Did they find you through Craigslist? I saw your CL ad a few weeks back while I was looking through the farm and garden section.
nugget guy was the first to answer last month and wanted more. Second guy didnt want nuggets and i accomodated with full lengths. Both are close to storage and both will want more. Looks like the 4-5 cords in customers i lost last year have been replaced. Ive had several hits of the listing much to my surprise.
Right. It’s such a pleasure to process nice straight grain oak. Even then, my stacks never seem to look like that. We’re still impressed 38f20 . Any more pics of that lean-to fully packed?
