I really should light the stove but will probably fight the urge since we're getting natural gas soon and I have a bunch of propane to use before then. Under normal circumstances I'd be lighting the stove tonight. I figure I'll have to turn the furnace on tonight or in the morning since it's getting chilly in here.
We had a fire every days the past 4 days. At moose camp for cooking & helps keep the bugs away, no needed for heat yet. Rain & in the 60°s daytime. No fire at home yet. Some cool dry weather would be nice
Had one here too. 65 inside the house this morning, and the girlfriend approved. Did another load of the poplar, she's-a nice and-a dry. Let her go out, it's still mid-70s in the house - nice and toasty - just how I like it!

I live the fact that she is moving about and is well enough to go picking berries. glad to hear you both are doing well. Now make sure you have the house nice and warm when she gets back and make her some nice Tea while you are at it. It was 48 overnight here in NY last night woke up to 71 inside the home and everyone is complaining how cold the home is. Getting close.
Dennis, I know exactly how you feel..."she wanted to pick berries but I put my foot down"..."I'll have it nice and toasty for her when she returns"! Yeah, whatever I say goes too! (right out the window)

No stove here yet. The old 2550 VC is removed and awaits pickup. The new IS waits at our warehouse and now isn't slated for install until Oct. 13th. Rest assured that once the IS gets hooked up, we will catch up with all these early burns though. Looking forward to then!
Mid WI , night temps around 40-30F, SE WI 40-50F not much better days, warm up coming this week Tue. thru? mid 70's days Some possible rain showers today. Currently about 50F. Couple fires in the 30 over the weekend knock chill off.
Actually, I told her to not pick in the morning. After noon it did warm up some so....can't hold her down much.
