First cleaning of the P43 yesterday. No, it didn't "need" it, but figured that would put off the first cold weather cleaning.

Then I unpacked the P61a exhaust, hooked up the OAK (I remove it to keep the humid outdoor air out), dumped in two bags of pellets (the hopper was completely empty), and made sure that everything is set for when I turn the thermostat to "on". It is currently 63* down there, and with highs in the 40's projected for this week, the thermostat may be activated soon.

Didn't quite make it to Nov 1, fired up the P43 this morning. Fire, coffee, apple cider donut and kitty on the lap makes a chilly, rainy day better.

The number of birds visiting our feeders has really nosedived the past couple weeks. Not sure why.

Changing of the guard besides the bird population took a bird flu hit. The changing occurred at maximum natural food.

Been on pins and needles all day. Brodie got the first treatment to rid him of the adult heartworms. He's home now and doing OK, But not our happy puppers!! He's pretty much a wreck from the drug! Today he got the Melarsomine injection deep into the dog’s back muscles. It has made him sore and supper lethargic!! Poor puppers just can't seem to get comfy!! :(

We've got to keep him calm now for the next 60 days as he gets 2 more of these injections!

I've included the plan of attach the vet linked us to if anyone wants to see. Google Melarsomine side effects for something scary! Luckily Brodie is young as it gets worse for older doggo's!!

Was 32* out when I went shopping at 7am. Had to scrape ice and frozen leaves off the windshield.

Feel bad for Brodie with the side effects, but hope the long term health advantages will all be worth it. :tears:
