Wood carrying bag/sling/tote? Whatcha using ?

Make/model etc.

What I came here with , my arms.
Still on my original ones , not worn out yet and still have years left in them , unless I get run over by a city bus.

If I could figure how to make a pocketbook out of wood I might stand a chance.

Honesty nothing , I have tried other methods but just find an armload just as easy , at least right now.

 

My old Menards cheapy played out last spring. I sprung like 25-30 bucks for this Galafire on ebay. Holds 8-10 splits.

 

Bucket or generic canvas tote from a friend. Both work fine!

I was recommended the LogOx Sling, tried it and I really like it. Can easily carry 6-8 splits. Wasn't a fan of loading up one arm and this changed the game in my situation.



Was lucky to find that eBay auction for $30.

 

That canvass tote sling is a very good idea. I of course went the cheap route and bought a $10 kevlar cut sleeve. Seems to do what I need from it. Left arm no longer looks like I've been wrestling a pole cat with it.

 

We use 5 gal buckets. Stand the splits in them, keeps all the bark, trash off the floor. Can haul about 6 buckets on the buggy at a time, tote 2 in the house at a time. Also works great for chunks and shorts in the other box.

 

I have the cheap wood bag from Menards, its works well for 11 bucks to hold 10-ish pieces of wood. I use a 5 gallon pail to hold my kindling as hopefully the deeper in winter we get I'll be refilling that less often.

 

I use a cheap canvas tote I picked up from Amazon. I've been using it for about 4 years now, it's showing some signs of wear and tear but it's still going. Looks like Amazon does not carry it any longer, I think I paid about 14$ for it.

 

Loke the log ox here.....got it directly from them. I carry wood a little further, so the capacity is nice. And comfy.

 

We have a Logox on the way. Looking forward to giving it a try.
Lots of good replies here. Hopefully somebody can get some use from the thread.
I'll report on the sling after I give it a test run.

This is the one I got. For years I used my arms to tote the wood in the house, but it is nice to put about a loads worth in this thing and not get covered in firewood debris... plus my wife likes it.

 

Still using milk crates.

Not too much of either recently. Used to be heavy into rough cider and bottling hard cider but have slacked off the past few years. Thanks for the comments
