Looks newer than that to me..."retro" windmill.
My parents still have the old iron windmill that powered the water pump at my grandparents place when dad was a kid...it was pretty rusty so its just the top 10-12' of it anymore...but it was still full size and in place until maybe 10-15 years ago

I was shelling and eating black walnuts earlier today, and I'm snacking on store-bought English walnuts now. The flavor of the English ones are tame in comparison, and the (American) black walnuts are the rabble rousers of the Juglandaceae family ;)
I think I'm going to bake some bread tomorrow with the shelled black walnuts.

This old photo shows the house of James M. Frame in Monahans Texas in 1910. Look at the details! Shows so much about these people and their lives and their aspirations and what they cared about is captured in this one snapshot. Sensational! Family, family and family!

So interesting! I can't imagine, my Grandpa would have been 5 and my Grandma 3. Any idea on what the furniture in the bottom right of the pic is? Or who and what the lady on the right is working on?

I thought the furniture in the bottom right is a bed.

Can't see what woman is working on as doll's head is in the way but woman in center of picture might be descendant of Betsy Ross! :D

At least the water windmill produced a useable product for years and years.

And I bet everybody is sitting in that same room because it was the only one with heat! Besides the kitchen.
