Regular customer sold her house and offered up some freebies to me. Wheelbarrow, maybe 75 bricks (good topcover weights) and a like new 10x12 tarp. Also a couple PT 4x4's one 6' long and some other wood scraps destined for kindling.
Maybe I should start a wheelbarrow hoarding thread as i own over ten of them now! :emb:

"Wood related scrounge without wood" wheelbarrow.
Not free, but a $5 garage sale... did I get took?
I know, Buzzsaw BRAD and Zack323 are gonna say "We get ours for free!"

It is a Montgomery Ward's model. Wonder how old?

    Newer run-flat tire at least.

The original handles were actually two pieces each - never seen that before.
Probably kept the shipping costs down.

New handles at the local Cascade Hardware Center are $39.99 each. Yes, you read that right.

Fixed up the old girl with some hand made handles I ripped from a spare Doug Fir 2X6.
Paint left overs from past projects.

    Ready to work!

Needed two bolts which were $3, and a couple nuts and washers, so I have $8 into it. It was fun. Better'n TV.

Scored another sheet of Ondura roofing today at Lowe's for $5. Dented but no holes. These are working out great with my current stack layout. Still need several more. IMG_4037.JPG IMG_4038.JPG

My “find” guy across the street told me, “it’s free and it runs” so, walked across the street picked up this little beauty, next morning there was a 2 gallon gas can plastic, but, brand new! SCORE! Guess it paid to be a good neighbor ! IMG_1140.jpeg I did put a coat of wax on it, just because! The bag had a big wad of heavy grass in it,probably why it wouldn’t suck up the smaller grass.

Nice. The only thing I get from my neighbor is my packages that get delivered to their house instead of mine.

Brought a couple old couches to the dump for a friend. This wheelbarrow left next to a dumpster followed me home. IMG_4184.JPG Some redneck repairs going on! Shovel handles and a bungee cord! :picard: Surprised there wasnt any duct tape involved.  Ill at least save the tub for another one to fix another i have hanging around. Have to see if tire holds air. IMG_4185.JPG IMG_4187.JPG IMG_4186.JPG

Hand hewn locust handles sounds like a Winter project.

Wow you can barely see how the handles were repaired, the way the new handles were seamlessly married to the originals.

This is probably stating the obvious, but it’s clear to see this master craftsman apprenticed under the one of the great Worcester barrowsmiths. Jezebiah Bootbinder, perhaps?

Yet another wheelbarrow found at the dump. This one only has rot on the handles. Everything else is solid. Tire flat. Ill blow it up and see what happens. With too many already its time to start thinning them out. IMG_4286.JPG
