It's that time of year many of us are seeing snow and cold in forecast. One reason we have wood burning stoves.
Currently 51 headed to 80. Then the predicted high for Wednesday is 49 and then our first overnight freeze.
I don’t think it got above freezing yesterday and calling for snow today with a high of 28. Lit a fire on Wednesday evening (I think ) and the stove hasn’t had a chance to get completely cold since. Looks like my full time burn season has begun. Hoping to get some wood hauled in over the weekend. Most likely elm and hackberry
34/63 .... Finally called it... It was getting a wee bit chilly in the house... Fired up the stove... Which is about normal time.. Usually right around Halloween time...
It’s been snowing pretty good here all day. But still pretty warm with a high of 30 F expected today. High of 22 F for tomorrow and more snow. Burning a nice load of Doug Fir. 73 degrees in the house.
34F/73F this morning... will be hovering around this temperature all day long and moisture will start back up mid morning... The second blast of cold air I think hits tonight/tomorrow morning...
No snow here yet. Not that cold either but cold enough we need a small fire now and again. Soon we won't be letting the fire go out.
38 and cloudy. A mix of old, and dry, hard and soft firewoods. The high is expected to be 45 today. Good working temperatures for moving firewood in under the porch.
