So today is our 32nd anniversary.couldn’t come up with a reasonable idea for a gift.then I remembered she was complaining that we didn’t have much kindling.I went to our wood yard where a tree service had dumped off some standing dead white pine rounds, and split a pickup load of kindling sized pieces.who wouldn’t want that for an anniversary present? Congrats on 32 years!

If I were you’d I’d refer to kindling as “anniversary presents” the whole winter long. “Honey, will you pass me the matches and a few anniversary presents?”

If I tried that for an anniversary gift I would probably get hit over the head with one of those pieces.

I’m thinking I would not score on my anniversary if I gifted my wife a pile of wood.

Happy anniversary to ya'll. Nothing wrong with that of she said ya'll needed some. On our 30th anniversary, my wife traded a chance for a diamond ring for a 30 ton County Line splitter...

That's because Miz Carol knows the difference between pretty baubles and useful items.

Well done. This is my kind of gifting. Not necessarily what the giftee wants, but something they need and can use.

Congratulations on 32 years. At that point you’ve either done something right or she’s long given up LOL. Works either way.
Now I’m thinking of stealing your idea but my woman’s birthday isn’t until June. I’m wondering how well this would go over in the middle of summer :)

If you got her the brick pizza oven or a smoker, then you should have things covered.
