Not if you don't care. Lol. The guy that did this is now unemployed. It's his 3rd big mistake in a week. All from not paying attention.
Okay I have to ask..... What is all the love for the 241? Didn't get my attention when they were on the shelf but now I'm like wtf did I miss. I know someone here wants one bad but......
They are like Stihls 346. Just a bit less cc. They rip stock and really rip ported. Mine is 12.3 pounds full of fluids with a 16" Stihl light bar. Thats 2.5 pounds lighter than my buddy's 261 also with a 16" light bar. I was just told about one for sale on OPE by the owner. Sold already. MMWS ported. $900 with light bar and three Picco Super chains.
Ported they sound like a pizzed off bumblebee. They don't sell them in the US anymore so its far more desirable now. We want what we can't have etc. They are legitimately good power to weight ratio. Also they are orange and white.
Dyno Joe ported a pretty beat up 241 and Dynoed it. More HP and torque than a stock 261 and 501 P and not far behind a stock 550xp. This without machining the squish.
Have you thought about trying their new 325 narrow kerf chain? Supposedly its significantly faster if thats your jam. The new Light 004 bars use it.
There seems to be some mystery about the 325 narrow kerf chain. It's only marginally narrower as close as I can figure. I've ran quite a bit of the husky x-cut sp33g which is sposta be their version of 325 nk chain, I believe......it's very good chain imo. I'm using a bunch of $5 a loop china chain right now, it cuts faster than the husky or Oregon chain I've been using, and it holds an edge pretty well for what it is. Stihl chain is just stupid expensive for our application because we're always hitting rocks, Stihl chain doesn't cut rocks any better than cheap stuff.... and it's a whole lot harder to grind out the rock damage.
I like the sp33 chain too. What kind of $5 chain have you got? I bought several of the hipa chains when they were $5 and $6. They are not bad at all.
