Wow. Good luck on the foot Buttermilk. I just wish there would have been a better ending to show the idiots wisdom in not coming back. Glad you got to throw the arse down and hope it hurt him too.
I believe he was so screwed up that the face plant he took probably won't bother him for a couple days. He sure was bleeding when he dove in the truck.
Yes sir looked he had been birdshot from a distance. I got him down in my driveway to my shop and it's full of granite sb2 and plenty of white quartz rocks. I take pleasure in seeing him hit the ground like a sack of taters.
I hate thieves! They are not stealing "stuff" that can be replaced. Even with insurance, you're never made truly whole. They are stealing the time I spent earning the $$$ to buy that stuff. The time I spent earning the $$$ to pay the deductible and the time I spent earning $$$ to cover the stuff that insurance weasels out of paying. That time, at least in my case since I travel for work, has been at the cost of missing my kids baseball games, soccer games, their church events. They are stealing the time I missed with my wife while she attended her grandfather's funeral while I was stuck in Borger, TX after 9-11-2001. They are stealing the time I missed with my best friend while he was home visiting from Bolivia (missionary pilot) and I was in Kingston, Jamaica. In the end, they are stealing something that is irreplaceable. TIME. I'm glad you came out of the situation with your stuff (ie: time) Buttermilk, sorry to hear about your foot. We had a PD officer fire at a moving vehicle after the truck came back stolen when the suspect started driving while the officer was reaching for the keys in the ignition. Vehicles are considered weapons in Ohio. The officer was found justified in his shooting (suspect wasn't hit). I've talked with enough PD folks, Prosecutors, and a couple of Judges. All I'm saying to anyone, if I ever find myself in your situation is "I was in fear of my life".
Your exactly right on all accounts. Our officers are good people just tired of doing g there jobs and some panty waste judges slapping thieves on the wrist then letting them.
Hit and run, attempted theft of private property. Did you get a description of the pickup, lic # every bit helps, I’d pursue, it if it were me. No matter what, do not take the law in your own hands! Leave it to the cops to follow up on. Sounds like you have a case worth following up on, pursue it! , Better late than never!!
I have had the unfortunate experience of dealing with drug addicts. From what I have seen they have the mind set of a child. They got a look at your stuff and most likely now feel like they need to retaliate. I’d move the stuff they got a look at and can be carried off. At the very least set up a trail cam to get a plate number or pics of faces. I’d be willing to bet my lunch they will be back.
Unwanted people suck especially thieves. I put cameras on my property during covid since I was getting packages and there were a lot of people following delivery trucks and then taking the boxes. Keep safe and hope that foot heals properly and quickly.
Glad you kept your stuff. I hate to be that guy, but in today's climate, at least in some parts of the country, I would not involve police at this point. The part about going after them when they were trying to leave will make you the bad guy to some people.
I used to work with a Marine who kept his "broomstick" aka 870 loaded with 2 rounds of 7.5 shot. If they are too close it might as well be a slug, far enough away it is fairly harmless as far as a shotgun goes. The next 3 rounds were 00 buck for when things get serious after the first 2 shots.
Buttermilk , how is your foot today? What did your foot look like and feel like when you got up this morning?
