Evacuation alert issued for part of Leominster over potential issue with dam Had some weather in the town I work in last night.
Best of luck to those folks. >8 inches of rain to the north of us, and south into RI. We received .25 inch. I'm OK with that.
I saw video of a car on a road that was underwater (all but the roof) and a delivery truck that didn't quite get thru a flooded road before the engine stalled. I think I heard something like 8" of rain - that is unreal.
Another wave of heavy rain today. Possible sever storms. Inches of rain forecasted. I feel for the folks flooded out just a couple of days ago.
Could get some heavy rain in CT today. Looking ahead to the weekend; seems some of the outer winds from Lee could impact New England.
Flash flood warning. I would say that’s correct. The picture doesn’t do it justice. This is my kid’s bus stop. I carried him across the road when the bus came, and ended up standing in river up to my knees to get him on the bus. When I bought my house on a hill, I thought I’d be immune to flooding. Not so much when the hill keeps going up above you
Anybody got an Ark I can borrow?? We had 1.25 inches by 1030 this am. Started raining sideways not long after that, and been monsooning for the last couple hours... I'll go out in a bit and see how much the gauge has actually caught. Showing rain through the night into the early am hours....
Poured out 3 inches at 6:45. We've definitely had more than that, that didn't make it in the gauge cause it was raining Forest Gump in the jungle style....
I believe I heard on the local news that 17 out of the last 20 weekends have been rainy (here in NH) Correction: It has been 18 out of 22 weekends that have been wet
