Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a SUPER SATURDAY. 44/75 today, sunny. Had a short shower yesterday, so we need to clean that yard this morning after dew dries some. First we will load a friend's dump trailer, he's getting a load for needy family that only has wood heat.
This afternoon, our mission team at church will be preparing 50 plates to deliver to folks in the community.
    Be blessed, be a blessing.
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

    Good morning y'all.

    48/84 sunny & too hot.

Planning to sticker all the white pine this morning, then maybe saw up some cedar a guy dropped off.

Yesterday Sam and I cleaned up around the mill, then cut the trailer deck boards. I got a text from one of my dozer guys that more logs were havable (is that a word?)
Anyways, we loaded up the kubota and went after it....got a mixed load of cedar post oak and one mimosa. The owner wanted a few slabs of Mimosa, so I brought the load home and sawed up a chunk of it while the boys loaded the trailer decking, then we delivered the slabs when we went back to get the tractor.

If I don't sell it, that's one of my ideas for utilizing it here.

I didn't actually tell my dentist FYVM but I said I didn't appreciate him sidestepping my questions and I wanted answers.

Morning all. Dark again but I think we will see sunshine. It turned out to be a really nice day yesterday and I think we will get a couple of days before the rain comes again. Things were quieter at work yesterday so a lot got done.

Paul and Barnabas were called by the Holy Spirit to go on a mission. After a few stops, they ended up in Paphos on Cyprus. People were interested in the Good News about Jesus and one person was the Roman proconsul. Unfortunately one of his attendants was a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet - Elymas. In the background he was doing what he could to negate the Gospel message. The Holy Spirit spoke through Paul and Paul chastised Elymas, calling out his behaviour. The end result was blindness for Elymas. As we share the Good News, we will run into opposition of all kinds but remember that the Holy Spirit is the one who supports and protects you as you speak about the wonderful love of Jesus.

While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” Acts 13:2

    Happy Sabbath everyone.

Is mimosa a really hardwood or more like our red alder out here? It sure has a pretty grain to it.

I'd say more like black walnut.
Hardness is similar to alder, but it's so different otherwise it's difficult to compare.

Good morning everyone! There is a break in the rain for a few hours, so I'm going to get a walk in while the gettin's good as soon as the Sun comes up. Yesterday was so bad there weren't even any cars going by. In Burlington they got 2.33 inches, which is a new record for the date.

    Good morning, members.

Upper 40's to start. Clear and breezy. Upper 50's later

We got ~2inches of rain yesterday.

More camping trip prep, and a few errands to run.

    Football later.

    Be safe
    Be healthy

Company left yesterday so back to normal again.

I am really wondering what was going on last night after dark. Lots and lots of shooting for quite some time. Maybe firecrackers but sounded more like rifles. Might find out today.

    Good morning y'all.

    48/74 sunny.

Planning to rest today, but I have to flip a coin with Tom to see who's chauffeuring mama to town for groceries.... I'm rooting for Tom to win..

Yesterday Tom and I made lots more stickers, and stacked pine.
Did other things as well...but not worth typing about...lol.

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a SPECTACULAR SONDAY. Clear day, might get to 80°. Church this morning, then nap time, my free days are over, got 2 nights to work.
Our mission team fixed and delivered 52 plates for dinner yesterday afternoon...ham, green beans, mashed potatoes, rolls and cake. Had 9 workers. 20231021_165403.jpg
When we got home, had a couple does almost on the front porch, she was closer until I got out of the truck and took picture. 20231021_235813.jpg
