    Don't be afraid to make an offer. I got mine a year and a half ago, they had it listed at $289 if I remember correctly. I just asked the guy behind the counter if he could do better, and he immediately said "how about $229?". I saw several on CL earlier this summer that a local HD had listed for under $300. Personally I think it's still a good deal for $300, and like mentioned earlier, you can make it into an OEM 79cc, or aftermarker 85cc's for $100-200ish more.

    I know which one I want... A 661 C-M! I have a pretty mature woods to manage; some of it is going to take all of that 36" bar. I'd like to use it for milling as well.

    Anyone heard a more specific re-release date, other than "this fall"?

    By the sounds of it they are already trickling onto the market. If history repeats, the 661 will appear as distributors clear out the existing inventory of 660s. That's frustrating for those of us that live in regions where 70cc+ saws are slow movers.
