    Good morning y'all.

    38/68 sunny.

Sawdust production is planned, and probably harvesting a hog this afternoon.

Yesterday I sawed two of the white pine logs into 3/4" x 12" before a town trip.

Morning all. Dark, windy and rainy outside this morning. We have another fall storm in the works. I am so glad I work inside.
Idiot that I am, I went and closed the patio door on my thumb this morning when I put the dog out. Fortunately the bruise and swelling is on the opposite of my typing area or else it will be a loooong day. I was trying to latch the door before I got it closed and got it caught in the door.

Sawdust Man do you find the scent of wood like pine and cedar overwhelming when you are sawing or do you get used it? It looks like where you are working isn't enclosed at all.
MikeInMa enjoy being outside today. It is not going to be fun here today.
T.Jeff Veal your first fire looked great. Thanks for posting the link to the new project.

Well, everyone have a great day.

Ouch, you shouldn't shut your fingers in the door...:(

I notice the different scents when I first cut something after a time off from a particular species, but usually within hours it becomes an unnoticed part of the atmosphere.
This white pine has a very mild smell.
I do enjoy starting up with a species I haven't cut in a while because of the "new" aroma treat.

    Good morning, members.

Nice day ahead. Upper 40's now. Mid-60's later.

Planning to work a dead ash that I've not gotten back to for a few weeks.

    Be safe

Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. 41°/71° clear. Going back to the deck job, then @1PM have to go to my job for a bit. Get trained on the new propane mixer that is used sometimes in the winter.
Today is our son's 30th birthday. He's off work and gonna help us.
    Be blessed, be a blessing.

    Good morning y'all.

    40/74 mostly sunny..... allegedly...

Planning to saw up some more white pine today, and I need to go check out another storm clean up job next door to the last place we worked.
Meanwhile, the boys are going to cut & wrap the relocated porker.

    Yesterday's sticky pine action... IMG_20231017_104926.jpg IMG_20231017_110815.jpg IMG_20231017_161355.jpg IMG_20231017_170107.jpg

Good morning! 44F and partly sunny, should be a beautiful fall day. I'm working a 1/2 day and working harder this afternoon. Church ladies are coming over Friday evening and I have a lengthy honey do list. There is an overgrown Alberta spruce next to the sidewalk that has to go so it comes down today. Then a serious pruning on a weeping cherry that covers most of the sidewalk as well. The lawn is past due for mowing so I'll be outside until dark. The place should look nicer when it's all done. Have a God day!

Good morning everyone! Last nice day before a rainy stretch. No frost yet so lawn is still growing.

    Good morning, members.

Nice day ahead. Mid-60's and sunny.

Taking dad to a dermatologist this morning. Follow-up/maintenance. Keep sun exposure to a minimum!

I'll do some grocery shopping. I'll be making a bowl of tapioca pudding to take to a friend's tomorrow.

    Be safe
