    50/60 clouds.


    Planning to rest today.

    Yesterday....
    Tom worked on getting power to the barn, and he had to cut a tree that was in the path of the wire.
    Sam hand split most of a cord of firewood.
    Meanwhile, I cleaned up the log yard / mill area, burned stuff & moved the mill into the barn.
    After I got the mill set up I just had to saw up one log, so I made a stack of oak 1x10 & a few two by's.     Morning all. We had a real fall storm yesterday. Great to be inside. today looks like a much drier day so far.
    I, too, am fighting a headache since yesterday morning. It isn't a total disability for me but it sure drags you down. I am trying to power through it. We will see how today goes.
    Housekeeping and bookkeeping today. Maybe some baseball tonight. Lots of things to do. I think I have the privilege of lighting the wood boiler today as well. I hope that goes well or I will lost my FHC badge.

    Good Evening... Just got home a couple of hours ago... What a wonderful time at @walts GTG ... Weather could have been a bit better, but we made the most of it... didn't travel those distance's to let a little moisture hold us back... But that little Fisher stove sure felt good that evening...

    MikeInMa ... I was up... and probably just about leaving at 4 a.m EST... but my priorities was not to forget anything this time... :picard:....

    Backwoods Savage ... Hopefully the headache subsided...

    I was going to do some wooding this morning, but will wait for a drier day.

    Looks like everyone had a good day and did a great job. Ya'll have 2 fine sons. That 3 point tractor stance is my trick...lol...
    I've done that quite a few times with the 900# counterweight on.

    Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. 50°/58° and cloudy today. We have to load tools, tractor and trailer. We're going to do a Sawdust Man kinda job. Taking down a small deck and building a 10x23 deck in it's place at a house in town. I'll get some :ithappened:...

    Son and his wife left yesterday. Work beckons no matter what. They will stop again on their return trip toward the weekend. They have to as they left their camper here! After the business trip they will get it on their way home.

    Morning all. Fall storm happening outside. Downpour and and wind. Nice to have a dry, warm house. I have managed to keep my FHC card. Although I didn't light the boiler as the storage temperature was still too high, I did manage to split kindling and load the boiler to be ready for lighting. When campinspecter got home, the storage tank temp was down so all he had to do was fire the torch and light it. Our new system sure works great.

    Off to work for a five day week. The last couple of weeks were pretty easy; work four and get paid for five. Next week will be a four day week with a dentist appointment in there.

    Good Morning... :coffee: ... Loving this fall type weather... Had to change the better half's battery in the Car... Started late last week when I was getting ready to leave it was giving errors... Check it last night... 10.08 volts... :whistle: ... Yep... Replaced it with a quick run to the automotive store so she could go to work... went a head and put it on a 2 amp charge overnight to see if the battery will take charge... It was 4 years old...

    Good morning, ya'll. Hope ya'll have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. 41°/67°, lit our first fire early this morning. Stayed cloudy and in the 50's yesterday, house was 66° inside when I lit the stove.
    Heading back to the deck job today...A new project
