This one wouldn’t qualify for the loaded truck pics…but I had to work for this stuff. It was an uprooted tree I spotted in the middle of a strip of woods on the farm. I got the 500i pinched and used the 550xp to cut it loose and kept going with that. And think my wife thinks having more than one saw is silly!

Since I am now selling a bit of wood, I’ll cut as much cherry or maple as I can!! Also a bit of dead oak that was caught up in the maple…a bit punky but the pizza oven don’t care!

It’s Canadian Thanksgiving weekend. So had a few extra helpers to split the wood. I was stacking. Got half a basket, which is about what I expected.

My father in law, son working the splitter, nephew in the truck.

Nice little grab there. Always good to have an extra saw just in case. Been there done that myself.

How long have you owned your 500i?

I bought it in February 2021. Didn’t really need it at the time but figured it would come in handy…and it has! Just not today, but she’s a bit of a gas pig compared to the 550xp.

Thats funny i got mine February 2021 too! Yup its a gas guzzler but boy is it fun to cut with.

Ive been running mine with a 20" bar. Could suffice with a smaller CC saw but i like to give it its share of cutting.

Went back to the same spot…a good size cherry had been uprooted. Brought help this time. And fed the 500i. I didn’t get all of it and there’s a black locust down on the neighbour’s side that he said I could take.
