Leftovers. Still a few new ones left but they stopped producing all Jonsered/rebadged Redmax saws over a year ago

Some unneeded changes to the 241 because #saw accessorizer, #saw polisher...
I lost an inch of usable bar for now. Im planning on switching over to an 18" Stihl RS Pro .325 / .050 bar & chain combo. IMG_20231004_143451332~2.jpg IMG_20231004_154823823.jpg IMG_20231004_150139105~2.jpg IMG_20231004_154833091.jpg IMG_20231004_155212243.jpg IMG_20231004_155221560.jpg

So far Echo hasn't killed them off but they are just red Echos now anyway. Not a bad thing as I like Echo but they aren't really Shindiawa anymore.

    Contact ECHO | ECHO-USA.com

Here is where I went to request they release the CS-4310SX to the US market if anyone wants to do the same.

My neighbor ordered a new GZ4350 and told me that it should arrive tomorrow. He's been cutting 20+ cord a year with an older husky 55 that I warmed up for him. I've been after him for years trying to get him to upgrade. He picked up a 2166 a month ago with MM and BGD and it fired up the CAD virus in him. Now he can't wait to have a great small saw. He'll probably have me do a MM at least and check squish to see if it can take a BGD. If the cylinder does come off, it'll probably get a little exhaust work with muffler matching and ensure the transfer exits are crisp and the lowers aren't funky. I doubt I'll split the cases to do any lower matching but if the flow paths look like they can be smoothed out, maybe...

I'm sure the timing wheel will go on it to see if anything can use a tweek. The plan is to keep the mods simple at this point, but once I'm in there it's hard to not "fix" things a little... So if I go asking what numbers these like, you'll know the carbide burrs twisted my arm to see a little action...

I wouldn’t worry too much about parts. I had a line on a 757 Shinny and was curious about availability of parts as the saw was well used but in good condition. Even the stickers are still available for it. They are producing some Shinny models, kinda like the Redmax deal. While the internals might be all echo, they still 100% look like a Shinny.

So todays lesson is if you see a Shinny 757 for $300 don’t waste time looking up parts, just go buy it, and yes I missed it…

Yeah I wouldn’t worry as much about the shinny stuff as redmax stuff. That whole echo kioritz/shindaiwa deal was more of an equal merger type deal than the giant conglomerate purchase of redmax.

My parts concern over sourcing a saw not sold here is there is no parts support here because its not sold here. Not Echo as a whole. They have been the easiest ope to get parts for me hands down. I order them right off their site. And it's been nothing serious. Just air filters and on the one blower, lines and tank grommet.
