I deep massage those sternocleidomastoid muscles that run from your breast bone up behind your ears.

There. That's all the information I have. I'm pretty confident my troubles all stem from that last links descriptions.

You bet. It took me a long time to figure out, through research, that my fused neck is the root of all of it. The muscle atrophy and get stiff and cause all kinds of issues.

Whoa Jason, that stuff can really take you for a ride sometimes. One interesting thing I've found is that some folks feel like their head is spinning while others feel as if the whole house or room is spinning. I get the second type and it is no fun. Interesting too is that it hits me when laying down and then either rolling over or just turning my head.

I seem to be one of the lucky ones as I have not had vertigo for a long time now. I am not certain why but it seems to coincide with the neck surgery I had done 3 years ago. Whatever, I don't miss it!

Another thing is that meclisine did nothing for me but some say they get some relief.

They did that test on me laying over the pillow on my back. My eyes did that movement they describe.

Years ago I experienced vertigo that caused the room I was in to seem like it was tilting and wouldn't stop. I started leaning the opposite way and eventually had to sit down and wait it out. I just chalked it up to having a few too many drinks the night before. Then it happened again a few months later but hasn't happened like that since those two incidents. This past year or so occasionally I'll wake up from a dead sleep feeling dizzy and sometimes nauseous. Every time it's happened I've woken up on my back. Sometimes I can just flip over to my stomach or side and it goes right away. Other times it might take an hr or two. I've also felt my eyes doing that strange motion right as I'm waking up.

After watching that video I'm wondering if I have BPPV!
