Woodwidow It was a great ride. She got to see a few Amish horses and wagons at work as we went through the countryside on the way to French Lick. Several Amish and English wood mills were u der operation, and people hauling freshly cut lumber.

caught a heavy rain storm for about five minutes, while on a four lane highway. All dried off by the end . Great nap once I got home.

    Tomorrow is another day.

    Good morning, members.

Mid-40's and clear! 60's and sunny later.

I was planning to mow the yard. Excellent weather to walk behind the lawnmower.

    Meeting a friend for lunch.

Nice thunder and lightning, with flickering of lights. A mad dash to get the coffee going before any loss of electricity.

seems to have passed in the past hour.

    Good morning y'all.

    65/88 at least it's sub 90...

    Another day of unplannedness.

Yesterday it turned into another dead oak removal at another neighbor's place, this time it was 30' from his shop.
It was 33" and much better sawlogs than the other one.
    Used the 620p with 24" bar on this one. IMG_20230926_112357.jpg IMG_20230926_112441.jpg IMG_20230926_114445.jpg IMG_20230926_125846.jpg IMG_20230926_125911.jpg

No my most beautiful stump, but it went where we wanted it....

Good afternoon, yall. Hope ya'll have had a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. It's been cloudy with a shower this morning. Set up the chop saw under the tractor shed this morning, reduced some 2x4 scraps to fire starter size, got another 55gal drum and metal trash can full. After the rain stopped, loaded 2/3 cord of 16" splits on the dump trailer, carried it to a lady in town.
Got the bladders took out of 4 totes, now ready for prep.
Last night of our fall revival in a bit.
Count your blessings, not your problems. GOD IS GOOD.

Hoping the rain moves out today. We haven't got much but the threat seems constant. Sprinkles then short periods of light rain. A nuisance. Looks like summer is moving in this weekend and next week.

Good morning, y'all. Hope ya'll have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. 60°, heading to mid 80's, I think.
Going to prep a tote, the head to town. Got to be in court by 10AM. Our son is going through a divorce, it's the first hearing. Send a few prayers our way, please. Don't know how long we will be there. I'll update later.

    Good morning y'all!

    64/89 foggy now/humid later.

Planning to saw up a pile of cedar logs this morning, and then hopefully deliver it this afternoon.

Yesterday's unplanned work was a cedar storm salvage job, and checking out another place that has a bunch of pine and cedar down. IMG_20230927_115524.jpg IMG_20230927_115529.jpg IMG_20230927_162829.jpg IMG_20230927_173034.jpg IMG_20230927_123136.jpg

UPS guy brought me a new cedar disassembly device. IMG_20230927_184559.jpg

My wife nearly stepped on this creep yesterday afternoon....

    Good morning, members.

Showery day ahead. Low 60's. Overcast.

Nothing much on the day's list. I spread some compost on the yard yesterday. It needs to be raked out a bit.
