LOL , Yeah those things are a mouse magnet for sure. I have fixed countless pieces of equipment that was parked in a shed and those little ******* decided to make it their home.
My dad's little tractor is a early 90s 3930 4x4 Ford/New Holland. Still says Ford on the hood. As soon as deer season is over I'm going to bring it to my house and put it in the shop for a clutch replacement. It's a real hoss for 45 hp. When it comes time to take it back he's going to have to come get it, I'm using it as long as I can. Lol
Fergy gets it done here. When we have something too big, the neighbor's ASV PT70 track loader gets stolen... 25' Maple log about 24" at the butt. That was about all Fergy wanted to handle... The carry-all gets a workout too. Along with the plow, disk, harrow, yard rake, back blade, 6' finish mower, 5' bush hog, boom lift, and 3 point hitch dirt scoop. Same neighbor's post hole digger comes up missing on occasion also...
Deere 4100. Using the FIL to take splits over to the stacking area as the wood is split. I used to throw it on the ground. It would be a pain to bend down and toss it into the truck or loader. The less I handle it the better. Wood in the background is outbound so i didn't use the tractor. I could stack it instead of dumping but I'm trying to beat the rain.
I figured I’d resurrect this thread a bit. Some of you got to see my new to me tree service/firewood tractor in action at the Backwoods Savage gtg a few days ago. I figured I’d post up some pics here for those not fortunate enough to attend. It’s a 2019 Kioti ck3510se hydrostatic. I recently spent the last couple days adding a third function kit to run a grapple.
Yep to go along with the metric hammer I had to use to pound that 90 degree fitting in the second pic to clearance it. Let’s just say the kit was more dealer friendly and less so consumer friendly. Especially the missing specialty parts. My local Kioti dealer took care of me though.
Thanks bud! They sure are awesome. That was about a 12 foot tall x 12 foot wide multiflora rose bush. It would have been a nightmare to deal with and now it’s gone in less than five minutes roots and all. I have several others like that to deal with on my property. Should be good for all the brush I generate during my daily work too.
Yep, nice tractor and grapple. Glad you got the valve on. We did ours and helped a friend do his also. We cut some holly trees once, sure glad we had the grapple to deal with those prickly limbs.
Hawthorn, Thornapple, prickly ash, buckthorn, Russian olive, eastern red cedar, etc. the list goes on and on. People don’t usually call me to cut down nice trees. They just cut those for themselves. There is some nice wood in my wood yard, but as a rule I don’t usually get to make fine artisanal firewood like all the posers on the YouTubes. The grapple sure will be nice.
