Called about some free oak. My wife and I brought two 5x10 trailer loads home today. Got some saw time in which was great with the cool weather this morning and the cutting area was in the shade. Probably at least another 6 to 8 loads to go, at least that. The picture with my wife standing next to the big rounds, there are probably 6 of those that he said he could try and load those on my trailer if we wanted them, yes we want them.

The big ones take a little longer to process but they burn so good.

Thank you Guys. The tree has only been down about a month, really wet and heavy. Would I be better to start splitting it now or wait a while? I think I may start quartering some of it now so it can start drying out.

Get it split and stacked ASAP. The sooner it dries the sooner you can burn it.

Definitely better to saw it now as it's nicer on the saw and chain.
    Awesome score!

Can you drive right up to it? Oak is some heavy wood.
