Kinda late this year but it’s time to bring this years heat in. Wasn’t the greatest summer for drying. The fans and dehumidifier will help that tho. The wood to be burned this year. First moved what was left over from last year to On deck position Clean and ready for stacking. Slides up. Got a decent amount moved. My 2 youngest helpers conveniently suffered pinched fingers loading the first trailer but my wife’s a champ and is a big help. We are watching friends 2 yo for the weekend so didn’t have a much time as I would have liked but it’s ok the weather is supposed to be nice this week. Hope to be done by next weekend. Bark mountain is building The weather looks good for today and the loaner kid will be returned at church this am. Should be able to get after it.
About time the weather had changed! Nice air today. Rain tomorrow. Then back to nice weather for the week.
It occurred to me that the 17’ fully loaded car hauler might be a scoch over the tow rating for the brute. Using the small trailer this year.
Surprisingly no. It’s just the way it’s been done here. Dad used to use wooden pallets. I guess they really aren’t needed.
Took advantage of a cool, dry morning to begin the migration. Some dry red maple from 12/20 should be fine for shoulder season, along with chunks. Heavy emphasis on chunk use. I emptied a 4ft rack. A place to start stacking some ash that was recently moved onsite. It'll be in direct sunlight shortly. I'll uncover every sunny day.
That’s enough of that for today. Time for a Jibba and some wobbly pops. I’d I say how much I hate bark?
