As much as they're "okay", they beat paying big oil.

Hoping for some dry cooler weather so I can get the rest….then split and stack it all.

I’m hopping to get there! With what I cut and what’s up there still, I should be ok. I just need to get it all split and stacked and do a good estimate.

Going to work with my neighbor on that! It could help the future situation. And a little oak mixed in too.

I WAS there, 3 years of great very dry high quality wood. Then I got lazy...

...I shall return to the 3 years plus club soon.

Made a few trips up back today to fetch more wood.

Got the last of the smaller stack.

Started working on the bigger pile.
    IMG_8198.jpeg

My curiosity got the best of me and I split a few rounds. Not as bad as I thought. Some punk on the outside, but the insides are still OK. Hoping this is consistent throughout the rest of the rounds.
    IMG_8197.jpeg

And here’s where we ended up after today. There’s some newer hardwood mixed in, but most of this is from the leftovers. Tossed some metal roofing on top before heading out.

Retrieved all the rounds from up back today. Feels good to have everything out of the woods and stacked. Next up; splitting all this. And I also have a few more downed trees on my neighbor’s property that I have the OK to cut.

Did some splitting yesterday. It was a great day to be outside; cooler temps, nice breeze. The rounds spit nicely and were mostly barkless. Some spalting on a few, but that was about it. I’m going to get after the next stack of rounds over the next few weekends.
