Seeing if anyone has any experience with the old New Holland skidstears? My dad has an LS180 that he is looking to sell and trying to come up with an asking price. I know he picked it up ,maybe 10 years ago, but never used it so been sitting inside. I'm pretty sure it will start and run with a battery and will try to get more information from him on last time he had it running.
I tried Google but seems like I only find newer, 2000 and up, model years.

Hydraulic pumps and seals for the arms. We’re very expensive in 1997 ish to rebuild

we had similar for couple years, long time ago at camp.. it was used in dairy barn and we we learned cow manure eats metal like calcium chloride

Okay, I get it now. I think his works okay with about 3,000 hours on it. Just one of the many things that he should not have purchased in the first place.
It's nice that he is starting to get on board with downsizing some of the stuff since he can no longer do as much as he used to. This is something he never has and never will use this machine.

Stephiedoll you may try contacting auctiontime
    Consign Your Equipment | AuctionTime | AuctionTime.com

They will give you an estimated value, it will get a lot more eyes on it & may get your dad a few more $$$. You will just have to inquire as to their commission.

My brother has sold a few things this way, they come, look stuff over, take some pics & then post them up.

Thanks Jim, I passed it along to them. He is also thinking about calling Used Farm Equipment, Construction Equipment & Trucks for sale- BigIron Auctions. Pretty sure it had quite a bit of work done to it when he purchased it, but never know.

Going to spitball a number, based on what similar hour newer machines are going for and subtracting to account for age and more difficulty sourcing parts I would estimate sale price of $6500-7500

When talking farm tractor the older units really hold their value. Skid steers not so much huge improvement have been made in last 20 years in hydraulic power, lift capacity and user friendly features.

Another auction site I like is Purple Wave.

Thanks for that. I know we need to get up there and make sure it starts/runs with no issues. Fairly certain that it had a bunch of work done just before he purchased it. He was thinking of starting at $9,000 but I think that will be high, but I need to remember that he has the magic touch getting good money out of stuff.

I would talk to him about it, but it's way to big for use at the house. It would be fantastic at Bunny's place, but not sure how much longer I will have access to that as her future without Lefty is still up in the air.
It would be awesome to have though.

I don’t think $9,000 is out of line. Condition is everything, looks like a pretty clean machine. Purple wave has two ls 180’s listed right now granted they are 2000 and 2001 modle. Be worth watching what they bring.

Seems like that is all I could find was 2000+ and you are correct, big price difference, but they do not look like the same machine. Guessing I will need to take another trip up there and help him get it running as that will make a big difference. We will see what happens.
