Made some shavings today….

    I made some Honey Locust shavings from the logs I bucked up today, I still have a few left to do.

    I made some aluminum chips also :emb::doh:, like a total DA I left my log roller laying on the ground & subsequently found it when I was bucking up a log.

    Looking at those metal chips, the machinist in me says your 0.025” chip load was a bit excessive ;) At least aluminum is a little more forgiving than steel.

    No, it only knocked the points off of about 3 cutters otherwise it was in pretty good shape. At least for being used for milling aluminum…

    I will take it to my buddy that has a welding & fabrication shop, he will get it fixed up for me. He welded the head back on my pickaroon for me. He & his brother are pretty talented, they build with steel & aluminum.

    RuhRoh:mad: Shortened one of my plastic wedges this summer…wondered where all of the yellow ribbons were coming from :faint:. Just glad it wasn’t a metal one!

    I routinely hit my plastic wedges, I nice sharp single cut file brings them right back.
