It was a nice day so I cleaned out a certain area that was full of branches, they're over by the fireplace (5 or 6 loads) waiting for more rain so I can have a nice fire.
Catching up on your thread, Zap. Your areas look very nice. That's some cool temps you're having. We're still cooking in the 90's.
First pic is a before one. This piece of equipment did the heavy lifting The pipe showing its layout for an at grade system Hole for the new tank Spreading gravel over the pipe New tank being delivered Tank in the hole 4 risers to get it over ground level This is what it looks like today. Seeded and straw spread on it.
Just some pictures of a hung up birch and the area I cleaned the branches out of today. Tonight I made a Cinnamon Swirl Raisin Bread, even the wife liked it. The scales only said 200 this morning so why not have a treat.
I'm just heading out but first I'll fill the truck up with that cheap gas! I wish the saw was cutting trees but once I get clearing trail by getting rid of the branches, that always gets me to another trail that I want to finish, just a never ending project.
I did some burning in the outside fireplace today, after getting rid of what I brought over the other day, I started running around and getting some ash tops. Tomorrow we plan on taking this Basswood that's hung up down, if that goes well, we'll do the Birch that is also hung up.
I see we might have another 0.20 of an inch of rain tomorrow so the Basswood on the hill in the back might have to wait since it can get a bit slick footing wise, it might be another brush, branch or tops of tree gathering day.
I jumped in the truck and headed east hoping to run into you on the highway and get that bread while it was still warm but must have missed meeting you on the way..... Maybe next time? I suppose you would never make it past Backwoods Savage place!
It was pretty gloomy out this morning and cooler (59) so I hooked up the trail mower and did most of the yard along with the trails. After having some lunch inside I headed back outside to check the moisture content in the dead pine I c/s/s for this year. The moisture content was pretty good for all the rain and humidity we've had this year, 13 to 21 on the outside. I'm pretty sure it was top covered when we had the real warm weather in July before the rains started. I do have some pictures I'll post once I grab the card out of the picture taker. Before I put everything away, I cleaned the 310 that I've been running when cutting up the tops and branches I had a fire with in the outside fireplace.
We finally took the boat out, that's only three times this summer. The outside temp was 66 when we finally took off in the boat, it was a perfect day.
