Guys settle down, he just upgraded a 391 to a 362 from an old Echo - let the man run the saw and enjoy the thing before he thinks a port job is a REQUIREMENT to run a saw

BASOD is telling it like it is, why would you spend money to get more than you need??? That is swallowing the hype, not being realistic!

I'm not a mod - just a guy cutting wood to heat my house with - as you stated earlier "did I get redirected"
I don't want new comers to feel out of place asking general saw related questions - think... folks that don't know what the heck a woods port is:loco:

Good advice is always welcome(I love it personally) you guys will have everyone looking for a firewood saw buying a ported 880 - not that there is anything wrong with that:rofl:

That was not directed towards you. I'm a slow typer and your post went up before I finished.:headbang:

I'm sure everyone knows who I was messing with:rofl:

I have ported and stock saws of different brands

I like them all.......and I do or will not push one or the other on to people:smoke:

I will say this......The saw with the sharpest chain wins:saw:

    I was thinking "redirected" as well:rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol:
Which is the reason i resisted joining AS for so many years. All about bigbores and port jobs and oh your 390 sucks.

I haven't been on this board long enough to know if you are joking or not, but I can assure you I did not feel pressured or that I had to have the saw I now have to saw some logs. I think even the least educated person on chainsaws, would have to be pretty lacking in common sense to believe that.

All is good here, I am happy with what I have, will use it for a while, then probably take it to someone to have some work done on it at some time in the future. (probably not the DISTANT future.)

I appreciate all the advice I have been given, both the serious stuff and the not so serious. I have also enjoyed all the other posts in here that I have read up on. Being out of town, I had nothing better to do than look over about a years worth of posts. Lots of good info in here.

Now I am going to finish this Yuengling , and go to bed.

modest misunderstanding - we love pro-saws and ported saws, even homeowner grade saws - I have a MS170 that rips limbs , just you coming to the hood as new member didn't want it to be overwhelming;)
As stated above it's all about a sharp chain - no amount of HP overcomes a dull chain

    OK official:Yar:
FHC while established in 2012 by the man the myth the hoarding legend @Scotty Overkill was established elsewhere(site un-named)
It resides here in all the glory of it's great firewood hoarding intent....in a much better format if I can add - 1 year old pretty soon or already after the migrations
