Found this black locust on FBM last night. Made the arrangements and had at it this morning. Nice tight heaping load. Ran a tank through the 400, then the 500 took over. Deceiving how big it was in the listing as i need a longer bar for the biggest stuff still there. 32" at stump top. IMG_3795.JPG IMG_3796.JPG IMG_3797.JPG IMG_3798.JPG Had a little tailboard malfunction! :emb: Went to close it and that happened! IMG_3799.JPG Heaping load. Brad Brad Brad. I don’t think it’s hyperbole to suggest that your truck has probably moved more black locust in the past 4 years than anyone else’s on the east coast. Awesome score my friend :salute:

    Thanks guys! :handshake:

Im surprised neither one of you PMed me about this as it was a four day old listing on FBM. Slacking off there fellas! :picard: In West Haven a couple blocks from the green.

FBM is kinda weird though. I have it set for "most recent listings" and sometimes they dont always show up until later.

I certainly never saw it and I’ve been looking multiple times a day for the last week. Marketplace is weird that way. I don’t understand everything going on with that. Usually using the iPad, rarely the iPhone, but get different results on each. May have to juggle between the two more often.
I also think Apple and FB don’t like each other much. Great score tho.

    Nice score ,

Maybe I can mill you some BL boards and you can make a new tailgate with them?

Methinks many hoarders would like to find something like that!

On needing a bigger saw. I've cut trees like that with a 16" bar! Takes a bit longer but still can get the job done.

Great score Brad! And not that far at all!

The FB algorithm is odd. I get different results on my phone with the app (logged in) vs on my browser on the ipad (not logged in, but same location set) Go figure.

That is an interesting thing to think about, I like it... Be the doers, the movers, the folks that see the potential outcome in something and are not afraid to sweat and work hard to get something done. Too many people these days like the looks of coveralls and work boots but don't put them to actual use.

So bowed that it barely makes it to the mounting points on the bed?
Maybe have one of these woodturner types here make you a set of BL "hinge extenders"!

LOL!!! I decided to pack the nuggets and shorts in there before i closed it. When i did the loose piece of tailboard hit them causing it to disengage on the left pin hinge. PITA to get it aligned but i got it done.

I was beat after that load and left the biggest behind. Rental property and the guy couldnt have been nicer. He said i could come back Saturday which is more than likely what ill do based on this weeks work schedule. Told him i wanted it all including nuggets etc.

That's a great score of some primo BL. Are you planning to hand split it?
