Got a call from middle stepdaughter last week. Dead ash blew over a few days earlier. Stopped to check it out last week and got to work cleaning it up today. She lucked out as it came close to her shed but missed. Bucked it to 14" for her little stove in the basement. Ill split it for her sometime down the road. The wood was all good with minimal punk. 400 more saw than i needed but enjoying running it as of late. Will yield a half cord. That was a close call! Is there really no damage to the building?

None. Maybe a twig on the back side but maybe not from when it fell over. Only damage is to turf. Lots of divots and ruts.

I was supposed to take this down three years ago, but had issues trying to get a cherrypicker in there.

The 400 is such a good saw! I'm looking for any excuse to pull it off the shelf.

Wow, if that tree had fallen just five feet to the right, your daughter's shed would look quite a bit different right now!

Nice work on that Brad! Sometimes we get lucky with how they fall.

Don’t look like you were really needing a cherry picker anyway

Being that close to the shed it wasnt an easy drop as it had a lean. I suggested using a cherry picker. They delivered it and it wouldnt work on the hill there. He took it away. There was some dead hemlocks on the property line i was also removing for the neighbor. I later tried to get another one in there and ended up getting stuck in their squishy back yard. What a fiasco! I quit. This was when covid first hit. No room to work next to tree so i was hesitant about a straight felling it.
