    Good Morning (belated). I was up early and here in spirit, but we don’t have internet or cell at our cabin where we were the last 10 days. Got a lot done and had our adult children, and our grandchildren up for a long weekend during that time. My sister brought up my parents who celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary with us this past Friday. The weather was perfect as is typical in northeastern Minnesota in August, with minimal bugs, low humidity, mostly sunny, with a few days of overcast and light showers from time to time. Overnight lows were hovering near 50f and highs reached the low 70s, and even a bonus day with a high of 60f.

    Nice start to the day. Low 60's. Reasonable humidity. Mid-80's later.

    Another wave of heavy rain due here tomorrow morning. So, I'll be going for a walk behind the lawnmower this morning

    The Mrs and I went out to eat at a roast chicken place yesterday. We hadn't been there for months. It was enjoyable.

    More rain in the forecast. 70's predicted until the weekend when they say it will be hot Sunday. I hope they are wrong.

    Interesting day yesterday. A neighbor called. He was quite some distance away (going on a vacation) and discovered he forgot his wallet. Because he was pulling a large trailer. I got his wallet then took it to him. We got a big laugh from it and all was well.

    70/81 mostly sunny and probably humid.

    Another obnoxious thunderstorm last night, no damage and the power stayed on this time.

    Planning to sort through the cedar we edged Saturday and get a load ready for delivery..... might even get it hauled into the mill.

    There was a lot of rain to the north and west of us but we only got .07 inches. We may get a little bit more, but not much. Calling for 90's this weekend.

    Morning all. Heavy fog this morning which will burn off to sunny skies. It is the start of our hot/warm couple of days.
    I have come down with a cold. Hopefully it won't last too long.
    Our oldest daughter and I went to the Barbie movie. It was a hoot. Not one I would go and see again though. It was great seeing a lot of the fashions that we have had and made over the years in full size. Quite a few subtle references to other movies and situations. Weird ending.

    Home today to take it easy and hopefully kick this cold.

    Good morning! 78F and cloudy, drove in the rain coming to work. Worked on the Gator and truck last night. Need to split some oak tonight and move some logs to make room in the wood yard for a new load of logs. A tree service contacted me inquiring if I would take logs and chips. How does a hoarder say no? Have a God day!

    61/77 sunny.... just beautiful for this time of year.

    Planning to cut a few more cedar logs to finish up my load, then head to the mill.
    Meanwhile back at the ranch, Tom and Sam are planning to harvest a hog or two.

    Day dawned sunny with fog patches over by the mainland. it is going to be a warm one today. We were supposed to take both vehicles in for washing and waxing but my cold got worse so Shadow and I stayed home. My jaw aches from the sinus pressure. Hot cloths and hot tea doesn't seem to take the pressure down. I may have to resort to pain meds. I hate having a cold but summer colds are the worst.

    We got .75 inches of rain yesterday. Today continues to be muggy, overcast, with temps in the mid-70's. At least the AC hasn't been needed. Ceiling fans are getting it done.

    I'll pick blueberries this morning. Volumes are decreasing.

    Hoping to meet with a friend for lunch.
