From Glasir, the nearest Walmart for us is 40 miles. nearest town is 5 miles. closest neighbor is 1/2 mile. I get why you want to move.
Some folks Understand! Other's don't, I've had a neighbor say to me; "Why do you want to move from such a beautiful resort town and you're only 9 blocks from the beach"? 1st Reason). Resort town!!! 2nd reason) there are only 3 permanent/local households on my block, all the rest come from, Phila, or NYC. 3rd reason) it's a complete CLUSTER-F__VCK here in the summertime! 4th reason) banner planes, lawn mowers, Weed whackers, leaf blowers, screaming kids, ferry boat whistles, traffic, and always some kind of construction going from sun up to sun down every day! 5th Reason) Gun laws and politics. No more said here... Some people just love this place and it's the ones from the city who (THINK) this place is Utopia . I don't think they've ever been anywhere else where REAL nature exists and if they have, they realize it dosen't have all the amenities THEY want and shopping right around the corner. Most would know how to survive the outdoors.
To give you the correct answer, 58 years in (This) house on and off. My Parents had this place built in 1965. I purchased it from my father when he retired in the early 80's My military movements/duties had me in different places but I kept the house.

Not that I’m excited about people moving to the Thedford Ne. area but it sounds like you would fit right in around here, and I would welcome you. Can’t get to much farther away from a beach than this place
I think my first picture speaks volumes about my/our life, a Jeep and a RAM 4x4 2500 in "Beach" town! yeah... Oh, and a sign on the wood that say's "Do not take"! Yes, I have explained this sign before People WILL steal the wood and sell it to camp grounds...
He lives in the wrong part of the state, albeit, there are many of those. I live in a much more rural area. Lots of woods and farmland around me. More space = more freedom.
Anywhere (Near) the shore and surrounding areas are crazy. There are places in NJ that are much more better but you're STILL in NJ...
Show time! Gonna Split the load then haul it back... This is 2 days of work and the heat was incredible as almost everywhere. We got about 2 solid cord from it! I could have used the GREAT wood God EODDiver to get this done faster! He's a machine! We didn't even get it all in the back yard tonight, I'm whoooooooped! And, the poor wife worked all day and we loaded the Buggy with about 6 loads and took them back. Stacking will happen next week.
Yeah! But as you saw, I do have to put a sign out! A few years ago, I had a load dumped about 3pm in the afternoon, I had to run to the store for some dinner items and when I pulled up, some DIPS#!T was loading his pickup with my wood! I won't begin to tell you what I said on here but just use your Imagination ...
