Would we be so lucky. It is 1.999 a liter here. So it is $5.64 US for a US gallon.

Call it whatever you want, it’s still our tax money and I’m sure just like me, you’re tired of funding private industry.

My nephew builds them. You just got a small tidbit of information. Takes more energy to build the crystals for those panels than the panel will ever produce. Oh and any flaw in the crystal making process, basically a 4 foot long round thing that gets sliced up, whole thing gets thrown away!

If only we had some sort of control over where our tax dollars got spent, right? :handshake:

If most if not all of our politicians weren’t paid for, we’d stand a better chance.

I'm guessing they would be at least as corrupt, if not more so. They can't live off of good wishes, so need to make money somehow. Or, only rich people would be able to afford to take off 1/3 of the year.

Now, if you are talking local politicians, that might make more sense (although they still need to have lots of time on their hands which may, or may not, be the best method). NH's local legislature only get paid $100/year.

I paid 3.57 to 3.89 around these parts. Probably more expensive places if I paid more attention to it.

Ive been working an hour plus from home and stopping for gas almost a daily routine (im too cheap to spend $100 to fill up so $20-30 at a clip). A local 7/11 was the cheapest. The other morning i go by and it was $4.19 for 87 octane!!! :jaw: :faint: I thought i missed something on the news about gas prices going nuts. Couple miles down the road the other 2-3 stations had "normal" local prices.(3.65-380) The 7/11 went down a bit when i drove by today.
