Standing back from heat

probably 25’ around was 12’ high to start

 

Now that’s a fire! Wow!

 

We had a fire last night. I'm getting to old for 3 am bedtimes. Used up the last of my magnesium chainsaw carcasses.

It was too hot to get close enough for s’mores
That’s tonight yes bed of coals will burn down enough to get close enough

 

How do you burn those?

Burned more wood shingles the other night. Tonights fire was mostly splitter scraps. Spicy sausage links on the charcoal.

 

i love burning nice logs as much as the next guy but burning scraps and uglies…you clean up and you have fire!

 

Tonights fire of more cedar shingles from the job im doing. Started the charcoal for steak. Still more to burn and even more to come from the job.

 

First outdoor fire of the season last week.
