Just waiting for my friend to get them from his daughters in Mass. If he doesnt come through ill take them. Did you still want to part with the other green sheet? Thinking of redoing the other shed to match what i built.
I scored another great heavy duty skid for a shed floor... It's 5'6" wide and 9'4" long Floor is 2x12's Got 4x4 runners and 3 2x8's under that. Still had the plywood ends attached, hope to make a backer board from those, helps keep the 1st couple stacks straight. It could hold 5 rows of 16" splits evenly
We have several forklifts available on nite shift, probably took longer to put both straps on as to load it... And tractor forks at home
and i'd be getting a double hernia loading (or trying to load) it onto my truck! Gonna be a sweet base for your stacks.
I have some pine and a new semi downed basswood you can have for the shed, I'm all frickin heart buZZsaw BRAD , I'll even c & s it for you!
As messed up as it sounds id take the basswood. Stuff dries fast. I mix a split or two in bundle wood to keep the weight factor down. Too much primo hardwood (sugar maple, black birch, oak etc.) makes them too heavy.
I tried to sell a huge basswood trunk I got, hoping a carver of some sort would have interest in making it into a grizzly or some other large animal. Got zero takers but did give it to a guy who was going to make some live edge table top slabs from it, and I kept a few to try some bowls on the lathe this winter
Stacked the cherry i split yesterday. The birch from the prior score will start the other side so its half filled.
Looks great. Must be a great feeling to see the shed filling up fast after all the hard work you put into it.
Its filling up too slow IMO! but thanks Eric. PITA trying to get scores with bundle quality wood only. Maybe 60% of the cherry came here. Had a potential score in North Branford lined up but when i drove by this afternoon it was gone. I snooze i lose. It was over a couple weeks ago i spotted it.
