Cleaned up more at the splitter today.

The pile of red elm got tossed into the trailer.
    IMG_9972.jpeg

Started tossing all the slash into the dirt bucket only because it was out already
    IMG_0034.jpeg

It was a bit larger pile than expected . Almost 2 face cord.

even got the pallets loaded onto the semi so I can drop them off at Glasir tomorrow afternoon on my way home from South Dakota.

The stuff we do for fun.

couple videos from last Saturday. Brent is the channel creator and in the orange. I’m in the blue.

No, I don’t have a welder or the skills needed to EFFECTIVELY repair this. New this is a $3450 attachment.

the dealer is saying “$1500 as is”.

the welder says “$200ish to repair…”

I suspect all the attachment welds for the pivots and the cylinders are inadequate. you can see where the root has little or poor penetration on the right side on one of the pivots.

Probably $1100-1200 for “repairs and inspection” to make sure nothing like this will happen again in the future..

    Would you get it?

This is another brand they have. It’s $4800 new.

the one I had was a borrowed attachment.

I love your stacks, Stephiedoll ! Do you move them around with a forklift or are they pretty much stationary? I have one of those cage-thingies (how is that for a technical term! :D) and I could take the plastic out of it and use it for wood also. How much do they hold? That might be a cheaper way to make stacks......

I gave $1800 brand new for mine.
I have access to a welder or two at work and the skills to use it. I wouldn’t give more than $500 for it.

    Thanks,
Tape measure says just shy of 2 cords of hedge. Been using the totes for sell wood for a couple years so far and love them. I think I have 10 here at the house and plan on bringing more in when out at friends place, that is where I process wood and they sell it.
I don't have a way to move the totes here at the house, although it would be nice if I could. At least my ugly stacks will have a harder time falling over.

Those prices are too high for both. You could get a similar style EA rock grapple for less and they are lighter. A heavy attachment will limit your lifting capacity.
