78 or 79* here yesterday afternoon, but humidity low enough that it felt cooler than my house at 74* and 56% humidity. Wind was nice early yesterday too - kept the bugs away while I was mowing. Wind died down in the evening so even with several windows open the house has only cooled down to 72* at this point. I may have to nudge it with window fans in a while. Be nice to get it down to 68-69* to start the workday.

Window fan in the bedroom overnight and all windows open brought it down to 60* at 5am this morning. Perfect for me.

    Loving this stretch

That is too cool for me - I'd be wearing a sweatshirt all day. I left two windows open last night and it is another fine morning to let the house naturally cool down. The quiet of no fans is nice.Today is only supposed to get in the low 70s so windows may be open all day. That depends on how loud the work on all the houses around me gets, not to mention the guy behind me who is working on a souped up truck and has to rev the engine and take "test drives" on a regular basis to see how long he can burn rubber.

55 deg this morning with fan in the bedroom window, all windows open and pedestal fan circulating. Cool for sure but still wearing shorts and t shirt this morning. Ill take it over the humid crud. Still, a bit chilly on the legs

Agreed!! I had that Sunday and this morning (shut off the fans at 5am when I got up) it was a nice change. All I hear is the tinnitus ringing but that never stops

I bet you say "what" a lot too?

Indeed! But I do sleep better with it on. Need back ground noise.

Haven't had the a/c on in 4 days!

Eversource has dropped thier supply rate from $0.21/kwh to $0.12/kwh. They got their propane contracts set in time to avoid the inevitable rise now that gas/oil prices are rising (gas price rose $0.20 in just this last week in my town).

Might be using the minisplit during fall/shoulder season instead of the P43. I still have cheap pellets that I got a couple of years ago from the HD sale, but might as well save them for when electric prices are higher. But, I gotta watch those other charges, if they went up a bunch, then it will be pellets.

And speaking of the minisplit, I had a local guy come and do the general service for my system yesterday. First one since it went in early June 2021. The guy said the whole system was in really good condition and told me horror stories about people not cleaning their indoor units at all so they were all clogged and gunked up. Apparently installers neglect to tell people to clean the screens (or people don't remember that they were told to do that - and don't read the manual). I shudder to think what the screens would look like with all the bird feathers and dander, cat hair, general dust and pellet dust just sitting there all this time. I clean every 2-4 weeks, depending on conditions.
