Thanks. I have a friend that just returned to Wakefield today from OK. He kinda rubs the weather report (temperature difference) in my face on a regular basis Mike in Okla
That sounds fantastic! Had a good rain last night didn't cool off much. Woke up early, picked some veggies, mowed the grass, ran to the store to get some items to make pickles. Filled the trench back in where I patched the well line. So far needed to change my shirt 3 times. Was going to cut firewood this afternoon in the shade, but I can't find the motovation.
Send it my way please!! Last night we got absolutely dumped on. I think it was 1.5-2” of rain in 30 minutes, even had hail. Probably take a couple days to get my basement dry again.
Nice day today, thank goodness. Unloaded my 3rd load of locust and while doing that, got a call from the tree fairy who said he was taking down a silver maple. Turned him down as I wanted to get more of the locust plus the following was on my Weatherbug. Ended up being much nicer, other than a few sprinkles, so changed my mind and went over to his cut (10 miles). He loaded me up and helped Wood Doctor from OPE load his truck. Hope to get it worked up tomorrow, if the weather holds out.
I would if I could. My son just returned to PA. Talked to him last evening and told him I had to clos all the house windows as I was getting chilled. Boy oh boy, did that ever make him groan!
62 out there now, 79 for a high today predicted. I'll have to sweep the pool and put the cover back on. Highest they show for this week is 82.
Ended up with 0.31" rain here. At least it held off until I got done cutting and unloading the pickup plus split a little. Sun sure packs a punch with no shade.
Got less than half an inch of rain yesterday. If I dig a hole in the garden the soil is only wet about an inch or two down. Dusty, dry under that. I'm hoping the really hot weather is done as I took the window A/C out of the bedroom I've been sleeping in. It only has one window so it's either open screened window or A/C. I'd rather pay for an open window . Plus I prefer the fresh air . looks like fairly cool nights for most of the next coming week.
1/4 of my commute on the motorbike was @ 60 degrees this AM. Add 75mph wind chill and it was actually nice to be a little chilly! Dew point 55.
